WIC: Women, Infants & Children

WIC is a special supplemental food and nutrition program promoting good health through nutrition and education. Through WIC, we provide these services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children under five years of age.

Participants receive WIC checks which can be redeemed for approved food from designated local grocery stores. Participants also receive individualized nutrition counseling, breast-feeding counseling, and referrals to healthcare providers and other helpful services as needed.

To be a participant in the WIC program you need to meet income guidelines, have a nutritional need, be pregnant, or have recently given birth, or a child up to the age of 5 years old. All applicants are required to bring proof of income and must continue to meet income guidelines.
