As part of its strong commitment to the senior population, ICAP operates the New Castle/Henry Senior Center. Nutrition, socialization, recreation and transportation are the primary components of daily programming. In 1998, after years of fundraising and saving, the Senior Center purchased a new handicapped accessible van. Completely retrofitted to transport handicapped individuals, the van will transport elderly people to medical visits, nutrition sites and general errands.
The Senior Center is for adults 60 years and older - or have a spouse 60 and over. A visiting nurse will take blood pressures and answer questions on the second Wednesday of each month. |
